Florida Offers Golfing Opportunities for Players of All Abilities

Since 2010, Trey Sned has served as vice president of William H. Sned and Company, a real estate firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida. In his free time, Trey Sned enjoys staying active by golfing the many courses his home state has to offer.

With great year-round weather and a wide range of courses to choose from, Florida is a popular destination among golfers nationwide. The state leads the country with approximately 1,100 courses, so golfers of all ages and ability levels can find a location that fits their skills.

In addition to catering to amateur golfers, Florida offers plenty for the pro as well, and the state often hosts Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) and other professional events. In 2016, Florida hosted 19 golf tournaments, including six PGA Tour events, three Champions Tour events, and two LPGA Tour events.

Those looking to plan a golf vacation to Florida will find that the internet is an excellent tool for finding the Sunshine State’s best places to play. Golf.com and Golf Digest offer course information and tee time details as well as rankings of area courses. Each year, Golf Digest also publishes its list of America’s Greatest Golf Courses, which currently lists several Florida locations, including Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, and Calusa Pines in Naples.
