Palm Beach Day Academy's China Partnership

As the CEO and creative director for clothing wholesaler startup Harmen & Co., Trey Sned is responsible for everything from branding to product sourcing. When he isn't busy developing the West Palm Beach, Florida-based business, Trey Sned focuses his efforts on raising money for area school Palm Beach Day Academy (PBDA).

A K-9 school with a focus on community, PBDA also emphasizes the importance of students being world citizens, open to and respectful of all cultures. One particular program that stresses the world citizen ideal is PBDA's China Partnership, which was launched in 2010.

Every two years, PBDA students are afforded the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong, Xian, Beijing, and Shanghai to experience firsthand the differences in culture and lifestyle. In 2015, students visited the Great Wall and toured Beijing's Hutong district, among other activities. The next trip is scheduled for March 2017. More than 75 students have taken part in the exchange program, while PBDA has welcomed several Chinese students from partnership schools in Hong Kong and Beijing. In addition to biennial trips, students from partnered schools connect frequently through Skype and social media.

Florida Offers Golfing Opportunities for Players of All Abilities

Since 2010, Trey Sned has served as vice president of William H. Sned and Company, a real estate firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida. In his free time, Trey Sned enjoys staying active by golfing the many courses his home state has to offer.

With great year-round weather and a wide range of courses to choose from, Florida is a popular destination among golfers nationwide. The state leads the country with approximately 1,100 courses, so golfers of all ages and ability levels can find a location that fits their skills.

In addition to catering to amateur golfers, Florida offers plenty for the pro as well, and the state often hosts Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) and other professional events. In 2016, Florida hosted 19 golf tournaments, including six PGA Tour events, three Champions Tour events, and two LPGA Tour events.

Those looking to plan a golf vacation to Florida will find that the internet is an excellent tool for finding the Sunshine State’s best places to play. Golf.com and Golf Digest offer course information and tee time details as well as rankings of area courses. Each year, Golf Digest also publishes its list of America’s Greatest Golf Courses, which currently lists several Florida locations, including Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, and Calusa Pines in Naples.
